MaxNote Media presents a new release from TshegoTMM, with the single “Merkin” created alongside Vencer Cafe, now available under Eden Groove Sounds, a label recently acquired by MaxNote.
Born Tshegofatso Mokgethwa, TshegoTMM is a Pretoria based DJ and record producer who began his musical journey in 2011 as a DJ before moving into music production in 2014. His passion for music was shaped early on by one of his brother’s friends, a dedicated music collector who exposed him to a wide range of sounds.
In 2019, TshegoTMM released his debut EP under Sound Vessel Records (U.S.), followed by another EP the same year with 48 Records in Turkey. His third EP arrived the following year under Batavia Records in the Netherlands. Since then, he has continued to build an international catalogue, working with labels such as Sole Channel Music, Cyanide Records in Spain, Tree Sixty One in Barcelona, and a Brazil based label. His music has also appeared on Muzik & Friendz Records compilations and other respected platforms including Atjazz Record Company, Delve Deeper Recordings, Vibe Music, Deep Clicks, and Cromarti Records. He has also released music locally with Garden Groove Music.
Known for his versatility, TshegoTMM explores a wide range of sounds including House, Deep House, Soulful House, Techno, Minimal House, Lounge, Acid Jazz, Nu Disco, Organic House, Melodic House, and Downtempo electronic music. This openness allows him to express himself freely through music.
Now, with “Merkin”, his collaboration with Vencer Cafe, TshegoTMM adds another chapter to his growing catalogue. The release marks a new moment for Eden Groove Sounds as the label continues its journey under the MaxNote Media umbrella.
